Accessibility Statement
The Courtyard is situated off the high street in Matlock (A6).
There is on street parking with a limited time. Paid parking is
available at the train station a few minutes walk away. There is
a private car park on Holt Lane just around the corner, 3 hours
for £1.50 (subject to change) and limited parking spaces for
blue badge holders on double lines on Holt Lane (3 hours).
There are 4 free public parking spaces on Holt Lane. There is
a paid car park on Snitterton Road, app needed.
The courtyard is cobbled please be aware of this if you are
using a wheelchair, walker or walking stick. The Room of
Enchantment has a ramp available please ask for us to set it
up for you. You could always message us beforehand to
prepare for your arrival. With no ramp there is one shallow
step and then a step upwards through the doorway. An
average sized wheelchair will fit through the single doorway.
There is one large structural pillar in the room, please be
aware of this if you have sight issues.
Our toilet is not accessible by wheelchair, please bear in mind
these are old buildings. It is accessible through the Courtyard.
There is a shallow step and then one step up through the
doorway. There is a grab bar next to the door. Once in the
hallway the toilet is on your right. There are no grab rails in
the toilet and no baby changing facilities.
Please note our toilet is locked for security purposes and we
will open it for our event guests. The key is provided to room
hirers.
